Wisconsin Community Veterinary Center, a full-service, nonprofit clinic, is seeking a full or part-time veterinarian to join our team of veterinary professionals who provide quality, affordable, and accessible veterinary care to pets who would otherwise suffer without. WCVC is a collaborative, professional environment where your time and expertise will be valued. We encourage work/life balance and offer flexible schedules.
WCVC predominantly serves low-income families who cannot otherwise afford veterinary care for beloved pets. There are no after-hour emergencies or late-night shifts and no expectation to upsell products. Compensation and benefits are competitive.
About Wisconsin Community Veterinary Center
We are a full-service veterinary clinic working to make veterinary care accessible and affordable to everyone. We pride ourselves in being a community resource, offering compassionate, understanding, top-of-the-line care to our two- and four-legged friends alike. Our skilled team comprises dedicated veterinarians, certified veterinary technicians, vet assistants, animal care and recovery team members, front desk and reception staff, 4th-year veterinary students, interns, volunteers, and a full development team that oversees and executes fundraising efforts. So we can continue to offer the most affordable care possible. WCVC is a branch of Shelter from the Storm Animal Rescue, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit founded in 2005 with a mission to reduce the euthanasia rate of healthy and adoptable animals and improve the lives of companion animals.
Our goal is to decrease animal suffering, economic euthanasia, and medical surrenders to animal shelters by providing the opportunity to obtain affordable veterinary care for beloved pets.
WCVC typically serves dogs, cats, and occasionally other small animals. Services provided include diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries (including surgical intervention when this is the best option), dental care, preventive medicine, spaying/neutering (including community cats), and client education.
