Nazareth Veterinary Clinic is a small animal hospital where providing quality and compassionate care is our top priority. We have been serving the Lehigh Valley since 1994 and are conveniently located off of Route 191 in the borough of Nazareth, PA.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks
Ensure the safety of pets, clients, and all of us by using safe, humane restraint techniques, following AAHA protocols, and maintaining clean and organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and a sterile surgical suite.
- Obtain relevant medical history and other relevant information from clients, and maintain proper and complete medical records, utilizing a SOAP or modified SOAP format.
- Educate clients about pet health needs, diagnoses and treatment plans, hospital care and services, referral information, and other related information.
- Effectively communicate differential diagnoses and treatment plan to veterinary medical team and client.
- Understand and follow state guidelines and AAHA standards regarding duties of veterinary assistants and licensed veterinary technicians.

- Surgical skills: able to perform basic surgeries (or eager to learn, in the case of a new graduate).
- Client service skills: ensuring that the team provides the client with attentive, courteous, and informative services.
- Compassionate commitment to pet care: ensuring that team members confidently present pet treatment recommendations and associated fees as an advocate for the pet, gaining the client’s agreement to proceed with the treatment most appropriate to the pet’s current condition and long-term health, whenever possible.
The Associate Veterinarian will work closely with the veterinary technicians and is responsible for medical, surgical and dental procedures performed in the hospital. We have a spacious surgical suite, multiple exam rooms, and a dedicated dental room with dental x-ray! We have an in-house laboratory and on-site digital radiography. We also offer on-site grooming facilities.
Candidate Requirements:
- DVM or VMD degree
- A current Pennsylvania license
- Previous surgical experience preferred
This position includes day, evening & shared Saturday shifts. We offer a competitive salary as well as continuing education allowance, 401k and health benefits.
