Job DescriptionAre you passionate about animal health? Do you enjoy working with pets and pet parents? UNI Pet Clinic is looking for RVTs, and experienced veterinary technicians to join our team! Our one-veterinarian practice in Union City is a busy primary care clinic serving canine, feline, small pocket patients and their pet parents. Our RVT's and Veterinary Technicians, and Veterinarians work as a collaborative team to provide outstanding care for our furry clients, including preventative care, diagnostics, surgeries, dentistry, urgent care, client education, and more. Our clinic is currently in an expansionary phase and is seeking motivated self-starters with excellent clinical and customer service skills. Responsibilities and Duties Medical care: Perform medical exams; assess vital signs; triage patients and report medical history and client concerns to the veterinarian; administer injections and SQ fluids; radiography; phlebotomy; dental prophylaxis; and surgical preparation, induction, intubation, monitoring and recovery. Client education: Educate clients regarding preventative care, vaccinations, medical treatments to be administered, and procedures performed. Assist clients by phone as needed. Record keeping: Write patient medical history; review and maintain accurate patient records in our computer database; maintain patient confidentiality; and work with veterinary medical insurance to process claims. Clinic maintenance: Assist with cleaning and preparation of surgical instruments, including autoclaving; ensure work stations are properly stocked; order medical supplies and medications; and clean and disinfect work spaces as needed. Qualifications and Skills - Excellent communication skills - Experience working in client-facing role(s) - The ability to multi-task and stay focused in a fast-paced environment Our team members are cross-trained in all areas and have access to opportunities for continuing education in the veterinary medical field. Both full-time and part-time positions are available. Our clinic is staffed six days per week from Monday to Saturday. Benefits Benefits will be offered to full time hires after a 3 month probation period has ended.
