Our Rittenhouse location has a great reputation and attracts dedicated, highly compliant clientele who want only the best for their pets. We have digital radiograhpy, digital dental radiography, high speed dental equipment, ultrasound and in-house Idexx laboratory equipment.
The ideal candidate will have, at least, two (2) years* of small animal experience providing clinical, surgical and dental services. They will be someone who shares our goal to provide high quality veterinary care to our patients as well as exemplary customer service to our clients. The doctor chosen must possess excellent communication skills and have a naturally upbeat personality conducive to easily integrating into an existing team of equally devoted doctors and support staff.
*We will consider a 1 year rotating internship in lieu of working experience.
Develop a rapport with clients and determine their needs and wishes; perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures in a way that will deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
Explain all findings and communicate to the client a diagnosis of the pets’ problem; develop and present a treatment plan for the pet to the client; educate clients on proper preventative health care
Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and confirm that all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols; assist colleagues in follow-up and future management of the patient.
Assist in the training and development of the paraprofessional team to ensure the delivery of high quality care and exceptional client service.
Positively represent the hospital in the professional community and to the general public.

Skills and Qualifications
A doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited university.
License in good standing to practice in the state of Pennsylvania
Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude.
Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets.
The ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members and clients.
A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
