The ROYAL CANIN Veterinary Diet® Scientific Services Veterinarian will develop and execute training and scientific communication programs to support the goals of the veterinary pillar. This position focuses on our communication and outreach to universities, specialists, general practitioners and veterinary associated programs in the field. The Royal Canin team of Scientific Services Veterinarians fulfills a crucial role in the dissemination of scientific information regarding pet nutrition to the veterinary community.
Key Responsibilities •Lead the communication and outreach to universities, KOL (Key Opinion Leaders) and specialty hospitals in your region. •Provide education for the veterinary community. •Educate Royal Canin associates through regional and national meetings, conference calls, and direct trainings. •Represent Royal Canin at national veterinary conferences •Develop nutrition knowledge and product use through veterinary schools •Provide nutritional case consultations for veterinary clinics •Contribute to business goals through collaboration with veterinary sales team •Other responsibilities as assigned
Education & Professional Qualification •A Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (or equivalent) with an active license in one or more states is required Knowledge/Experience •3+ years employment as practitioner. Applicants finishing an advanced degree will also be considered based on experience. •Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written), including copy-writing ability •Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat) •Outgoing personality and the ability to function as a team player •Ability to work independently with minimal direction •Able to thrive in an environment of rapid change
