The Veterinary Specialty Hospital of the Carolinas is seeking a board-certified, or residency trained board-eligible, veterinary surgeon to join our six-surgeon team. We are a 24-hour specialty, emergency, and critical care hospital with three locations, conveniently located in the Triangle area of North Carolina. Our team of skilled doctors and nurses work to provide high quality and progressive care for our patients and clients.
Our specialty services, including cardiology, internal medicine, medical and radiation oncology, radiology, surgery, neurology, anesthesiology, and 7-day-a-week critical care, are supported by a busy 24-hour emergency service. Our ICUs are staffed by experienced emergency doctors and nurses, backed by three board-certified critical care specialists to provide 24-hour care for our emergency and specialty patients. Full stat laboratory capabilities are complemented by an on-site Antech laboratory with full clinical pathology support including cytology and hematology. Our hospital is equipped:
a newly installed 16-slice helical CT
Karl Storz and Olympus rigid and flexible endoscopy
Arthrex 4K and Stryker arthroscopy
Karl Storz laparoscopy/thoracoscopy
Ligasure and Force Triad, Arthrex ACP and Angel PRP systems
KCI wound VAC
the full array of orthopedic and soft tissue instrumentation to support our progressive specialty services.
VSH participates in a collaborative surgery residency program with North Carolina State University as well as mentoring a class of 4-6 rotating medicine/surgery/emergency interns each year.
